Ike Turner’s ‘Funky Mule’ was a popular break as sampled by Drum & Bass producers like Goldie, 4 Hero etc. It originally appeared on Ike’s LP A Black Man’s Soul on Pompeii Records back in ’69 but amazingly never appeared on a 45 – coupled here with a break-heavy remake for the DJs by Vancouver’s Nick Bike.
