The Benítez-Valencia Dúo was an Ecuadorian musical duet . The duet was formed by Gonzalo Benítez Gómez and Luis Alberto ‘Potolo’ Valencia Córdoba from 1942to 1970 , the year in which the latter dies. His performances included several songs from different musical genres typical Ecuadorian folklore, as the yaraví , hallway , albazo , hike and dancing . After the death of Potolo Valencia, Gonzalo Benítez continued his musical career until 2005, when he died.
